Bear! (rar!)

A black bear near Heather Meadows on Mount Baker. I am certain this is the very same bear I photographed last summer only a short distance away. Back then he was a small, scruffy cub. Now he's a big, stong adult with a beautiful, thick coat! I'm very happy to see him doing so well. It's sad, though, that he seems to be accustomed to humans.
