Beautiful in Death

The evening sun shines on the rusty red of dead pines on a ridge just outside Logan Lake. The light makes it harder to tell, but many of the trees on the hillsides behind are also dead. As mentioned already, they were killed by the infestation of the mountain pine beetle that has ravaged most of the province these last few years.
