Truemors
Yesterday afternoon a forest fire started near Glenrosa, a residential community across Okanagan Lake from Kelowna, BC, Canada. I took this photo in the evening, about five hours after the fire started and it had already spread considerably as winds began to blow faster after it started.
Another unrelated fire had also started and was burning on Terrace Mountain to the north of here, above Fintry Landing. That is a much more remote location with few, if any, buildings near the fire.
A third fire started several kilometres from the one in this photo at the Rose Valley Reservoir, which also has a residential community. As of this evening, no houses have been burned at Rose Valley and, as far as I know, only three have been burned at Glenrosa.
