The kid is a lame ass puzzy. He sure as hell is no where close to being a man. What kind of man allows that to happen to a girl for something like that, which he would only benefit from. A 15 yr old, especially these days, is not an innocent babe in the woods that will be ruined and scarred for life by being intimate with a pretty girl. Especially when he is going to be of legal age for that activity the next day. This has been going on for hundreds and even thousands of years. It used to be an accepted right of passage for boys becoming men. Myself, and every male friend I had growing up prayed for something like this to happen to us. And we grew up in the late 70's and 80's. Kids are far more aware of sexual things these days. It's always better for an older experienced woman to introduce a teenage boy to sex so that when he then moves onto being with other girls his age, he isn't a complete bumbling & ignorant fool in the ways of physical love. It's not like she was his teacher or in any kind of position of power or authority over him. That would be different. If he were a man, he would have said he told her he was 16 and would NEVER have admitted to police or anyone that they ever did anything physical. He should not have admitted to kissing her at all. It's just wrong of him. She was, however, very stupid to not put her pants back on before he opened the door. I know I'm gonna get flamed becasue people are to PC to admit that it IS different for a young male to be with an older woman than it is for a young girl to be with an older man, and this kid is an embarrasment to his gender for being such a shameful whimp and screwing over this woman who was willing to share something special with him. As for her stupidity in her choice of location and timing, she should have exchanged numbers with him and picked a much better place to spend time with him at a later date.

This happened to me when I was 15. My parents and I were on a family trip visiting a friend of my dads for a few days. I was flirting with my dads friends 26 yr old wife and one of those nights she came into the room I was sleeping in and bingo. Now @ 45 yrs. of age looking back, I wouldn't have done any different at 17 or 18. Now this poor young lady is going to be marked as a sex offender for life for something that didn't completely happen and the boy will probably have a different view about sex. Fortunatly for the female in my case we were on a family trip to Europe and where my experience took place was in France and they view sex a little different there. Most other developed countries start educating their children on sex (the baics, like where babies come from) in like the 2md or 3rd grade, On that note now look up which developed country has the highest rate of teen pregnancies. If this kid was educated on sex at a younger age he may have made a different choice (personally from my experience I doubt it). I think whatwe have here is an overbearing mother who went about this the wrong way and has ruined another young ladies life (or at least made it more difficult).

I saw a post on another site that argued against the double standard, and it asked "What if this immature 15 year old got her pregnant?". My response was that as the adult, she would be the responsible party, and that hopefully the kid would not be held liable - it was her mistake. I know there's a double standard, and I'm okay with it.  People may not like it, but it IS different when it's a teenage boy with an older woman and not the reverse, simply based on the fact that women are the "weaker" sex.  Please don't get all pissed about that - I'm not trying to start a fight about men vs women and who is stronger - I've known some pretty strong women in my life.  I'm simply stating that typically, a man can physically take advantage of a younger woman far easier than in the opposite case... So anyway, I had sex with a girl in her 20's when I was 17, and we were safe, and nobody got hurt.  It's preposterous that this poor girl's life will be ruined because of this. I absolutley hate that articles are using the word "Lured" in the title. Seriously? She lured him? The media can so easily twist stories to one or another's advantage.  In this case, you form a mental image of a skinny little 15 year old being tricked into this act, even without a physical description.  But what if he was a 6 ft tall 15 year old, and Betsy was only 5'6"?  I don't see her "luring" him anywhere in that case.  Flirtting takes two.  He probably walked in there with her wanting to hook up - because if he was dragged, we can hope the article would have said so.  Nobody heard him screaming for help did they?  It also appears that he helped her hide when his mom came to the door, right?  We need to read the articles looking for what they don't say to figure out what probably happened!  SET BETSY FREE!

If a 24-year old man was caught kissing (and doing whatever else Brashear did) a 15-year old girl, I doubt anyone would take issue with the term pedophile being used; and I presume he would have been charged with more than a "lewd act." Some of you are saying that 15-year old boys are always horny. Even if 15-year old boys are always horny, that doesn't therefore mean adults can take advantage of them. This is an issue of power and responsibility. There's a huge power, developmental, and experience gap between a 15-year old boy with his mom and a full-grown 24-year old woman.Finally, 15-year old girls aren't horny too. Really? They seemed pretty horny back when I went to school with them. It just seems whenever this type of thing happens, the boys sexuality is exaggerated; but when this happens to a girl, the girl's sexuality is downplayed.Oh, and will Brashear have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life like a man would need to? I doubt it. Misandry.

! If it was a 24 year old man, EVERYONE wouldnt have any doubt the he is a child predator, or attempting to rape the 15 year old girl.. Why should it be ok for a 24 year old women. She should be ashamed of herself for even having the thought cross her mind. Let along being caught in the situation!!! On her facebook legal defence fund group, she has that she is a substitute teacher.. So if she is teaching in a high school setting people are saying its ok for her to be caught in a situation like this with a student! I don't think so! This 'karenfish' is sick and disgusting.  How do you justify throwing your support behind a pedophile and vilify her child victim?  The mind of a fifteen year old is far from a level of adequate development.  The lady is a youth gymnastics coach who chose to manipulate a child into a sexual encounter.  Would you offer the same disregard to a young female if the aggressor were an adult male?  If you endorse this behavior then it ought to be known to all, keep your kids away from karenfish!

This is bs, if the 24 year old was a male and the 15 year old was a female these comments would be totally different. It doesn't make it OK just because the minor was a male. This woman is disgusting! this is not the first time she has taken advantage of someone to satisfy her lust for attention! She publicly had sex with my now ex boyfriend while in mexico just a couple months before!! He was so drunk he doesnt really remember but I have pictures of him passed out cold on the ground with her next to him looking completely lucid and holding alcohol if you would like them!! this woman has no morals and will do anything for attention!
