Hundred of cyclists took advantage of the 3 month trial "bike lane" only on Burrard Bridge in Vancouver. But rush hour motorists were furious because of the extra traffic congestion caused by the bike lane.

I drove over the Burrard Bridge yesterday at 5:15. Well actually it was from 5:15 to 5:30. I am not a regular commuter so that is not a daily event. If it were, I wonder how much extra green house gasses I would be adding to the air in Vancouver each year? And with 50,000 cars a day crossing that bridge (many during those rush hour congestion hours) I would be interested in finding out the impact of all those engines spewing out all that extra pollution so we can "Go Greener". What a joke this mayor and council are. This is greenwashing at its finest! And it certainly will not lead to a Happy Planet.
