The clergy and congregations of Southwark Cathedral and the church of St Magnus the Martyr whose parish boundaries meet on London Bridge, held a ‘Blessing of the River’ service on the Bridge on Sunday, 13th January,  to remember those crossing the river, working on it and those lost to it. As part of the service, they threw a large wooden cross into the River Thames this afternoon.
