Blizzard 2009 Snow Totals: New England, DC, NY, NJ Snow Totals

A massive blizzard has hit the East Coast. The blizzard of 2009 could break a few records for snowfall. Several US states have been blanketed by snow during the Blizzard 2009 with more snow on the way.

Here is a rundown of Blizzard 2009 snow totals:

New England Snow Totals Wind as as high as 96 km/h could hit the area. As much as 15.7 inches (40 cm) of snow is expected.

New York City Totals About 11 inches (28 cm) has fallen on the city with a total of about 26 inches (66 cm) could hit New York City.

Long Island Snow Totals The 2009 blizzard hit Long Island harder than just about any part of New York. More than 25 inches (63 cm) of snow were recorded.

Washington, DC Snow Totals As much as 15.7 (40 cm) was measured at Reagan National Airport outside Washington, the most ever recorded there for a single December day

New Jersey Snow Totals Southern New Jersey saw some near-record snowfall. In Medford, New Jersey, up to 24 inches (60 cm) have fallen.

Very, very pleased to say there isn't any in my yard at the moment.

26 inches? half an inch in London means chaos, how does New York cope?

We had record rainfall in New Orleans. another inch and it will be the most rainy month in recorded history here. The temps may seem relatively warm, but with high humidity it is really cold.

Sounds like a good time for a conference on global warming. I wish it were true so that we wouldn't see the record cold and snow we're seeing so early in the season.

in Medford, NJ and 24" is conservative. NJ did an excellent job of handling this storm, even backroads are passable. most likely be March before we see grass again, it's alot of snow!

Several distinguished scientists formed the Norgovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) to study climate reports. The 2008 NIPCC report concluded that the goverment reports and there models are biased, obsolete and wrong, and that nature not human activity , ruels the climate. Al Gore is a politrick not a Scientist, think about it.

What MORONS! Global warming is real. Your IQ probably is only higher than the number of teeth in your mouth, which is probably 4. You idiots! CLIMATE CHANGE means EXTREMES in weather. I scoff at your stupidity, but I expect it. Afterall, this is America, the land of Wal-Mart and FAT FAT FAT people. I guarantee if you are one of the people that says there is no such thing as climate change, you are also morbidly obese, have missing teeth, and probably live in a trailer. I guess you can ignore all of those thousands of scientists who were quieted by the environmentalists in washington and the epa who believe we are in a cooling trend and also say there is not enough evidence to even suggest the global climat is changing. we just dont have enough infomration as you know the earths climate warms and cools over thousands of years of time. we have been recording weather events and temp for only about 300 years. thats a drop in the ocean. You really need to stop hating america for everything it is and you are. To Big Fat American: Who are these "thousands" of scientists who are being silenced by our government? Can you name ten of them? Just ten? And you need to name reputable scientists who have had their work published in peer reviewed journals. It's real, it's happening, and we can either choose to do something about it or ignore it at our own peril. You don't see that summer and winter storms are becoming bigger and more powerful? Start taking responsibility. It's possible to love your country AND criticize it. America is far from perfect. To claim it's perfect is to turn a blind eye toward our problems. You cannot make progress without understanding what the problems are. It's people like you who are the unpatriotic ones.
