Callithrix flaviceps (Buffy-headed marmoset) is a rare and endemic species of course, restricted to a stretch of Atlantic forest in southeastern Brazil, in the south and east of the Espírito Santo of Minas Gerais, being considered in danger of extinction in the country (List IUCN, CITES, the Brazilian Red List). The causes that threaten the species is the destruction of their habitat and the pattern of limited distribution.
