The Bridled Monocle Bream (Scolopsis bileneatus) is a tropical fish species that can be found on coral reefs of the western Pacific Ocean. It is a member of the Nemipteridae fish family that includes the ‘Coral Breams’. Its distribution is known to extend from the Andaman Sea to New Caledonia and north to Japan and to the waters of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. In Australia it is known to occur from the mid coast of Western Australia around the north to the central coast of New South Wales. This species can often be found in small groups on shallow coral reefs and juveniles can be seen hiding in amongst coral formations. The Bridled Monocle Bream (Scolopsis bileneatus) grows to a maximum length of approximately 23cm.
