Check the message on Bruno's website - www.brunosart.com.
He is fine and confident some of the scupltures will be able to be resurrected.

I have wonderful memories of visiting Bruno's amazing gallery and walking through the gardens in wonder as I looked at the sculptures. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me it is still there and the fires didn't destroy it and that Bruno and his family are safe. Bless you xxx

Hello there, so far Bruno's family is fine... but his home and garden are mostly destroyed, I guess.
We did not speak Bruno so far, but other family members around Melbourne.
regards,
Ortwin (family from Bruno, in Europe,...)

It is a relief to hear Bruno and Marleen are fine. When things settle down we will try to contact to find out what can be done to help.

Our sympathies are with the families of all who have lost both family, friends and homes. My family holidayed in Marysville for generations and my husband and I renovated the old King house there, covering the outside and in with cedar boards and using oak windows from a large house in Toorak. It's now gone like seemingly everything else, but after selling it we still returned as often as possible to Marylands and the Cumberland. Our next generation of children loved Bruno's sculpture garden and I thought I'd make copies of the many photos I took there of his sculptures and send them to him. Would be great if everyone who had taken photos there could do the same? I'm sure if we send them in a couple of weeks to Bruno's Sculpture Garden in Marysville, his mail will find its way to him.

What a great idea. I was there 8 years ago and loved his gardens then. I returned with my mother this christmas holidays to show her his wonderful talent and was amazed at how much further it had developed. I took many pictures and also bought one of his videos. I would be glad to email copies of these to him in the future. I made such a fuss over the garden when I returned from our visit that my son and his girlfriend had a weekend in Marysville the week before the fires. How precious that they were able to see his garden in all its splendour. If nothing else we have beautiful memories of his life's work and his exceptional family. Our thoughts are with you all. Thank you for the pleasure you have given us, Please don't let this stop you returning to your absolute destiny. All the best.

Dear Bruno, family and all those beautiful people who have visited his gardens,
When I visited, I felt the spirit of each of the sculptures touch me deep inside. I could feel a beautiful presence within each one, and believe this was why the garden was filled with magic. So, just as our spirits remain when our bodies die, I feel the spirit of Bruno´s work will live on always. Thank you Bruno for creating something so magical and for taking us into a place where our hearts and spirits were free to dream.
And thank you Great Spirit for protecting Bruno and his family, all who will continue to create...

We are so very glad to hear that Bruno and Marlene have survived the fire - we have many photos of our visit to you, beautiful memories of time spent speaking with you both.
26 years of work - if you need any photos, please let us know.
We are thinking of everyone in Marysville - we stayed at cottages down the road - guess they are all gone now.
Regards

Bruno y Marleen

I am in total shock that Bruno's Art Gallery is gone. This was my artistic haven. Bruno and his family are highly spiritual, generous people and all remarkably talented artists.
I am fortunate to have bought a small sculpture from the gallery - which now serves as a memory of the wonderful experiences in this magical home and garden.
These are very sad times. My love goes out to all the people in the region and to Bruno and his family.

My condolences to everyone that has lost loved ones, and posessions from these horrible fires. I live in Montana, USA and am planning to vacation in Healesville later this year with a lovely woman that lives there. This is one of the places she has told me about that we were going to see. It saddens my soul that I will never be able to see this wonderful place now. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the fires.

Your work truely was magical Bruno!.. Kathy and I had the privilage to gaze in wonder at what you created and to meet with you and Marlene. It is no exageration to say that there, in charming Maryville, nestled a artistic 'gem' that will remain forever in the memories of all of us who visited. Please find the strength to create more unique work for future generations.
We strolled through the sunny streets, we picniced by the lake, we returned with our friends and told everybody we met to visit, we were captivated by Marysville ...... we are so very, very sad.

Dear Bruno
My family visited your gardens from the U.S .in November. We stayed down the road at Christine Ryan's home"Gables on Falls".
My children teased me that they expected you to show up for tea and crumpets as they knew how enamored I was with your beautiful dream.
We are so relieved to know you and your family are safe.
Please let us know how we can help rebuild your gallery, home and garden. My family and I will be visiting our son in Sydney next winter ( your summer) and would like to help do what we can to bring whatever dream you have to reality.
When I showed up the next day, you said " This is the best light of the day. What makes me think you're still looking at the light. love, Deah and family,

I agree with Mel.9 - so glad I saw it when I did (in January, visiting from UK). Thank you to my brother-in-law Jonathan for taking us! I have been haunted by memories ever since the fires. I believe Bruno and family are OK.

I heard on email news that Bruno's garden was destroyed in the tragic fires - I have never been there but used the slide show for reverie and mediation as it is so magical and beautiful. May he and his family have the strength and courage to rebuild; with loving thoughts, Paula in Canada.

This is so tragic. Such a loss is hard to take. God Bless all who have suffered.

Thank you Bruno.
Your art will live in my heart (and on my computer) forever. Could someone with influence on the distribution of donated RED CROSS FUNDS, please please help Bruno bo rebuild his gallery. Perhaps you know who to contact. This is not just for himself and his family, but for the whole of Marysville. They will all need the tourist trade again urgently! Perhaps his new gallery could begin again with all the photos of his art. What a wonderful idea, suggested before, for everyone to send their photos to Bruno's Art Gallery, Marysville, Vic., Australia. 3779.
The best photos could be enlarged and copies made of them for sale. The proceeds could go to the new sculptures. How about folks!
