According to reports by the by at least one personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles, as well as the California Highway Patrol the increase in traffic accidents on the Los Angeles freeways were in the triple digits during the rainstorm.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Anthony Martin during the time of approximately 10:45p.m. Sunday the 14th and 9:30 a.m. Monday the 15th there were approximately 240 Los Angeles freeway accidents that occurred. Officer Martin also stated none of these involved any fatalities.

There were some freeway lanes closed and other slow downs, there were two southbound lanes closed on the 710 Freeway in the Long Beach area and traffic was slow on the Golden State 5 Freeway in the area of Grapevine.
