The Calm Before The Stom

A night shuttle launch is an awesome experience. If you ever get a chance to go see one, don't hesitate. It's totally worth the ridiculous lines of traffic to get back!
This one is from titusville, looking across the river to the launchpad. The launchpad itself is not in this picture, cut off to the right. The minutes before the launch are pretty calm... there is no real indication that much is about to happen except for the fact that you have a few thousand people gathered around, excitement and expectation filling the air...
