I hike around the Coos Bay Area from time to time. This day, I was hiking with my dog Joanna in the Charleston area. I came across a small patch of extraordinary Fungi/mushroom on the side of the trail. I have never seen it before, did not see ANY anywhere else. Looks just like coral under the sea but it was not. Super delicate and the color is Brilliant! I have no idea what the real name is but I am calling these Coral Fungi!
The other pictures are just your normal see everyday kinds. But still beautiful.
UPDATE!
The Mushroom pictured here is called "Ramaria Araiospora" or Red Coral Mushroom. It is ONLY found here on the west coast and is associated with many types of forest habitats. This information was from Steve Langenstein who works with the forestry dept here in Coos County.
