3.0 Earthquake Hits Central California

An earthquake measuring 3.0 in magnitude struck central California, with a shallow epicenter in the Inyo National Forest, west of Cartago (see map below).

The quake struck east of Visalia and Tulare, around 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
