Channel-billed Cuckoo - juvenile

There were two of them in this eucalypt. They are usually high up in huge dense fig trees out of photography range. The juveniles are brown and buff rather than grey and black, and the bill is smaller.

My 30D is in for repair so I've brought the film camera out from retirement.
