NP Rank:
Charlie Sheen Hoping to Aid in Alabama Tornado Relief
He may be most known for his crazy internet rants and Violent Torpedo of Truth tour, but Charlie Sheen also has a soft side.
The former "Two and a Half Men" star has announced he'll be holding an event to raise money for folks affected by the tornado tragedies in Alabama.
Sheen toured the destroyed areas of the southern state which served to firm up his resolve to make a difference.
And of course, Charlie schmoozed with locals, police officers, and National Guard soldiers along the way.
The 45-year-old actor recently demonstrated similar kindness when he agreed to donate profits from merchandise sales at his April 30th show to assault victim Bryan Stow.
Stow, a paramedic and father of two, was severely beaten on March 31st during the Giants Opening Day in Los Angeles.
He was attacked by two men (still unknown) and is currently suffering from a skull fracture while in a medically induced coma.
In related news, Charlie Sheen is officially single today (May 2), six months after he filed for divorce from Brooke Mueller.
The "Hot Shots" actor has been in negotiations over alimony and other settlements for what seemed like forever, eventually agreeing to pay $55,000 per month in child support.
A note in the legal documents stated that, "under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to [Sheen's ex-wife] Denise Richards for [daughters] Sam and Lola."
Ms. Mueller also received just shy of $760,000 as a one-time payment and $1 million so that Charlie could buy her out of their home.
