Chef's Bonus

= bonus for me.

Walking into the restaurant Chef Johnny knew what I would want to order (the hamachi - as always). The question was what was going to supplement it. Har har. Funny Chef Johnny.

I saw on the specials board that there was Baby Hamachi. As hamachi is my favourite sashimi fish, I ordered it without hesitation. I inquired if I could see the difference between the two and decided to go with the younger version. But when Chef Johnny was placing the sashimi slices into my take out box, he also brought out the regular hamachi, sliced it up and stacked them neatly next to my order. Then, surprise above surprise, Chef Johnny took out a couple large slices of special maguro mentioning that it was from a fish "twice the size as normal commercially available bluefin - very special." Horray for being a regular customer. :) I love chef's bonuses.

(I'm sure I can hear ML already tapping out an email to invite me out for more sushi-ing. I've already outed you for using me to go to Sushi M! I've caught on to your and KL's little game. ;P But no worries, I don't mind it at all. Fooding anyone else?? ;) )
