Chile Earthquake Pictures Show Widespread Devastation
Due to the damage sustained in Chile when the 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck on Saturday morning, communication with the area has been difficult and getting images from what the area looks like is a challenge.
Santiago was plunged in to darkness almost immediately following the earthquake and communication lines are still down in many areas.

The BBC has a slideshow of pictures from Chile (we don't have copyright permission so we cannot reprint them here) but they show the damage to buildings and structures through the region.
CNN also has footage coming from Chile, and a map of iReports coming from the area.
We are working to get images on our site here and will update this post when we can.

This is a terrible earthquake.
Probably even Far worth then the Haiti earthquake was.
The world will have to come together and stop playing wars if we want to help all those people affected by those disasters.

The earthquake in Chile was more powerful than any atomic bomb, and the third most powerful since the 1700's ( I don't know how they[experts] know that?) but at the end of the day more than 200,000 died in Haiti so it was far worse than in Chile where there are higher building standards causing less buildings to collapse. The Haitians should ask the Chileans to do their rebuilding work.
