Climate-related disasters have killed more than 443,000 people and affected 2.5 billion others at an economic loss of an estimated US$600 billion, a report said.
Climate-related disasters will further affect people living in third world countries, unless international actions are taken, Director of Tearfund Advocacy Andy Atkins said on the sidelines of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) here on Thursday.
All governments in the world must be committed to setting aside at least US$50 billion per year to help most vulnerable communities save their lives, he said.
