Climate Scientist Caught Fudging Data......Again

The scientists involved have justified their additions by saying, first, they are compensating for the rise of the continents that were pushed down by the glaciers of the last ice-age which increases the water-holding capacity of the oceans; and, secondly, the additions are trivial and do not contaminate the measurements.

So, these brilliant scientists, responsible for being the watchdogs of all humanity to the danger of rising sea levels do not know the difference between "sea level" and "ocean volume".  That speaks volumes in my opinion.

And, I ask, if the addition of 0.3 mm is trivial and of no consequence to the validity of the measurements, why is it being added?  In actuality, the 0.3 mm represents a nearly 20% increase that doesn't actually exist; that doesn't seem so trivial to me.

This is just another case of liberal-elite academia pushing their agenda.  They have to justify their importance and the tens of millions of dollars we waste on their grants, speaker fees, and trips to Cancun Resorts for global summits.  And then there's also the possibility that they have followed Al Gore into filling their retirement porfolios with "green" investments; and are worried that they may not be able to continue their snobbish, wine and cheese party, international travelling lifestyles into retirement if the rest of us don't get the government to pour billions into all of those green-tech companies to save mankind.
