Coffin Bay Shark Attack: Great Whites Kill Abalone Diver

Great Whites Attack Diver Off South Australia Coast

An abalone diver was attacked by two Great White sharks, and is presumed dead. The operator of the boat from which the man was diving witnessed the shark attack, and returned to shore. Apparently the diver was attacked as he was returning to the surface.

The attack took place just off Perforated Island, near Coffin Bay.The man's name was not released- he was evidently from out of state, and his family had not been notified at the time of Adelaide Now's report.
