La Niña is is the weather pattern caused by cooler temperatures in the equatorial Pacific Ocean. The phenomenon causes cooler winter temperatures in the Pacific Northwest and warmer winter temperatures in the Southeast. Also, La Niña causes wetter weather, as Colombia is experiencing.
