Colorado blizzard: Disaster declared Denver flights canceled

Colorado has been hit by a huge blizzard, Governor Bill Ritter has declared a disaster and flights out of the Denver airport have been canceled, schools have been closed, and the National Guard has been called in to assist with rescue operations.
Snow is falling at about two inches per hour and so far, about now inches have fallen. Denver is under a blizzard warning and most of Colorado is as well at this point.
Forecasters predicted up to 2 feet of snow south and east of Denver by Friday and up to 15 inches in the city itself.
At least 33 people were injured in crashes on Interstate 25, including six with serious injuries. The road has since been closed.
