Crystal Fire: Firefighters Battle Colorado Wildfire
A wildfire near Crystal Mountain, 15 miles from Fort Collins, Colorado, has threatened hundreds of homes. Firefighters have only partially contained the blaze, which has consumed over 2,000 acres. The Crystal fire is burning in rugged terrain, so firefighters have been using helicopters to try and contain it.
Snow and cold weather helped keep the wildfire from spreading more quickly, but it's getting warmer and windier.
The fire is about 5 percent contained. Crews are building containment lines and checking to make sure the fire isn't spreading beyond that perimeter.
Residents of more than 300 homes were evacuated but have been allowed back.
