A ‘Walk to Raise Awareness about Climate Change’ for the students of Karachi to celebrate the International Day of Climate Action had to be cancelled due to security concerns in the country. The Children’s Museum for Peace & Human Rights had organized this event, and some 2,500 students from 33 schools in Karachi had confirmed their participation for the Walk, to join millions around the world who were standing up in favour of swift and bold climate action and demanding that their leaders do the same. However, instead, a colourful installation was put up on the Sea View Beach in Clifton, Karachi, representing the 2,500 students. The different, but blending colours symbolized the children in Pakistan coming together with the rest of the world for one common cause: a clean, green world.
