Columbia Station gets Better Lighting.

For the last several weeks Translink has been upgrading the
lighting at the Columbia Skytrain station. Both platforms are much
brighter to the point where there isn't a huge difference between
night and day. The vending concourse and stairs to the east-bound
platform are also much brighter. Work is continuing at the moment for
the stairs to the west-bound platform.

Disruption has been minimal as most of the work is occurring at
non-peak hours. However while the lights above the stairs to the
east-bound platform were replaced with the stairs remaining open at
near normal thorough put the west-bound stairs were too narrow to
leave open and all traffic to that platform was shunted to the
disabled escalator causing more of a bottle neck than usual for those
transferring from the Expo line to the Millenium line or vice-versa.
