Theses conkers were under the trees found near Benthall Hall in Broseley Shropshire England i Grew up and spent most of my early years living not more then haft a mile away from the trees..
I now visit the place around three times a week while walking with my two dogs and have noticed that the trees ( althought still there in numbers) hav'nt had the blooms and the seeds on them like they used to have when i was a young lad. I have heard that the chestnut trees are being damaged by the leaf miner larvae and that soon we may lose all our native chestnuts trees unless something is done to bring this bug under control
