6.0 Earthquake Strikes Costa Rica

An earthquake measuring 6.0 in magnitude struck Costa Rica at 4:47pm local time. The Costa Rica earthquake's epicenter was 17 miles outside of San Jose.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or major damage. However, reports are emerging of power outages and mobile-phone network failures; residents are using the internet to contact friends and loved ones.
