Power has been restored to many areas of Houston, but is sporatic at best. Fallen tree limbs seems to have caused most of the damage in residential areas, falling on roofs and powerlines. Many traffic intersections are still powerless even in newly powered areas adding confusion to debris-cluttered streets. Emergency and medical facilities seemed to be the first priority after the stormed cleared, followed by the downtown area. Crews are slowly working at restoring power in residential areas. Many residences closer to the city had power as quickly as Saturday morning. A coldfront blessed the city with temperatures in the mid-70s for a few days after the storm, much relief to those still without electricity.
