"There have been cruise ships dumping offshore of Jacksonville for years", says Tony Orsini, Director of cruise ship and ferry operations for the Jaxport. as reported in the shorelines by drew dixon. Does the cruise ship director know something the general public doesn't know? early indications in that review, according to the head of the port, show there may be problems, when the FBI subpoened the contracts in tony nelson probe.

A GAO marine pollution report stated;"During three of the four inspections they{the Coast Guard} perform each year, they limit pollution prevention checks primarily to inspections of documents. The Coast Guard inspections I spoken with who conduct cruise ship inspections said they rarely have time to closely examine pollution prevention equipment. Numerious complaints have been filed with the environmental department for various violations yet it seems that Jaxport only has recieved a verbal complaint by the city.We need the public support to demand that the city take appropriate action against Jaxport for its continued contempt to violate our ordinances. Jaxport continues to lie to the public without regard to its actions. call the city now 904-630-2489 and demand that jaxport stop allowing carnival cruise line to burn bunker c fuel which harm our children lungs demanding shore power for all ships while in port. In addition tell jaxport also to pump and not dump along our beaches and or our rivers.
