It's been a while since we heard much from the Albertans so desperate to stop the clear-cutting of 800,000 acres in the eastern Kananaskis, a program which has already begun.  But they've been busy.  Frustrated by the provincial government's lack of response, they have organized a group called SaveKan (Save Kananaskis) whose main purpose is to create a park protected from logging and other industrial activities.

As part of this initiative, SaveKan has produced "The Kananaskis Clear-Cut Calendar", a dark little publication with one clear-cut photograph for every month of the year.  It's dark, to say the least, but its purpose is to drive home the impact  logging will have for generations to come.  You can see it or, if you really want to be depressed, you can download it at savekan.com
