Daryl Hannah Arrested in Pipeline Protest

Actress Daryl Hannah has been arrested in front of the White House. Daryl Hannah was taking part in a demonstration against the planned Keystone XL oil pipeline, a $7 billion project that would see dirty crude piped from Alberta's tar sands down the the US Gulf Coast for refinement.

Activists from Tar Sands Action do not want US President Barack Obama to sign off on the Keystone XL pipeline.

Daryl Hannah wasn't the only noteworthy arrest: James Hansen, head of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which studies natual and man-made impacts on the Earth's climate, was also taken into custody. Around 100 people were arrested as the protest extended into a tenth day.

So she was arrested in a peaceful protest that is guaranteed by our constitution. So the administration has thrown out the constitution, so we need to throw them from office next election!

The elections won't change a thing, Allen, my friend. The CFR chooses both candidates. It will be the same old, same old, that is, whatever the Oil/Banking/Military Junta wants. Elections are just distractions for the masses, giving them the illusion of power.
