I was very much there in Ramapuram when I shot these photographs. Thiruvalluvar salai at Manpakkam is still blocked with deluge. This is what happened way back in December 2005. The deluge is due to poor storm water drainage system and very bad crisis management. When the water bodies in Chennai are drained off during rains, they should have done it slowly. Suddenly dumping water causes deluges and makes life uncomfortable. Many of the shops in that area are remaining close for the past three days.
