Denali Wolf

This photo comes from Denali National Park, Alaska. The wolves in Alaska are not on an endangered list, and have very little protection. In fact predator control programs still go on in the state, with the theory that less predators means more game animals to hunt. Recently wolf pups were killed at a den. Inside the park the wolf - like all animals are protected.  This is a wild Gray Wolf.
