Cleanup is underway in Dickinson North Dakota after being hit by severe storms, and two possible tornadoes. Houses were destroyed, and vehicles had flipped over and even some 70 foot trees have been uprooted. Some residents still have not regained power.
The National Weather Service is sending out a damage assessment team to make a determination to see if it was tornadoes in the area. However, other media services are stating that it was a tornado that caused all the damage, and that it also hit Morton County and Burke County.
No major injuries have been reported.
The Weather Service says tornado touchdowns and strong winds also were reported in several other areas. There were reports of grain bin damage near Glen Ullin in Morton County. In northern Burke County, there were reports of downed power lines, damaged oil storage tanks, a destroyed barn and a destroyed granary.
Yonkers also reported a possible tornado, and some severe weather systems have been sweeping parts of the United States recently.

The video is done well, but the music is way too much. I can't watch it with the sound on.

i was watching this on the radar and it was very evident in the base velocity that there was probably a tornado going through this town ... i was happy to see a damage video ... the second i heard Michael Jackson i turned the video off ...

we just found out that my Grandfather was killed in this storm. He was a 78 year old man from Oklahoma, USA. He was with a group of friends on vacation doing some fishing. His Name was Stan...RIP grandpa. I think that the Michael Jackson was a meaningful touch..ty for the video. As to Joe who is HAPPY to see the damage,...at least it wasnt your family who died!!!

There were no deaths or major injuries in our tornado, only 2 minor injuries and they were treated and released. It's called being prepared!

What do you think about that Joe?
Does it want you to go "Beat It"?

To Joe, who is happy about the damage, I can only hope it never happens to you.
X-Pater, my heart goes out to you for your grandfather. I miss my grandparents
greatly. I live here in dickinson and lost a home totally to a fire two years ago. When I
saw the damage, and held a close friend while she cried over the loss of their home,
I can only explain that what you feel is a total and complete loss over control of your
life. It takes years to regain your dignity and composure. I'm still helping with them
and hoping that more people outside of our community will step up and "put forth".
As for the music, it was very fitting no matter who did it!

Hey there!!
I unnderstand the comment Joe made people are getting to sensitive. The damage video helps put things in perspective and helpful for insurance purposes. I did not take the comment that he was happy that it happened.
My prayers are with everyone, hope FEMA does Justice to those that lost so much. I was there for the flood in Grandforks and it has taken years to restore the damage "mother nature "makes. I also was in Windsor Co. where we lost over a hundred homes and lost a person.
Peace to you all while you walk this journey. W

Thank you to all who have sent prayers and thoughts. It means alot to all of us. Some lost everything some lost some but none the less the emotion is raw. I use to drive around to damaged areas and be amazed at it, until it hit my neighbors, friends and my home. Your sense of security is ravaged, I have 3 small children 3mo, 3 years, 5 years, and how do you explain to them that in 3 minutes something can steal from you what you've worked your whole life to build. Your home, your personal belongings and most importantly your sense of security. I am very gratfuly we had no fatalities, but now we have to walk around with some sense of loss, and not really knowing how to put into words the feelings we feel. It may take years for some people to rebuild and where will they go. My home suffered 60% structural damage but some homes, have nothing, some walls, some just a foundation. Yes these things can all be replaced and eventually gotten again but what happens now when we are waiting for that day? I still have my home and my family but what about the others who have no home to put the things into they have left? I've always known to care for your stuff and love your family but when you work hard for what you got and something can take it from you in 3 minutes, and you have literally nothing or nobody to be mad at, where do we go from here? I want everybody to know that driving through a neighborhood after a tornado, storm or fire is very uncalled for. I apologize everytime I did it. My street was bumper to bumper of cars, get our and help pick stuff up, make sure everybody is ok, give a hug, or simply go home and stay put. THANK YOU! To all the voluteers, Red Cross, National Guard, Dakota Diner for all the help, food and supplies. God Bless you for helping us in our time of need. You really find out who is there for you in your darkest hour. I'm starting to see the light but I'm not sure if it's because the roof is off the south side of my home. LOL Let's keep the humor, love and caring going around. Peace Love and Chocolate Milk from the heart of Dickinson ND
