Though not as large as their suaropod cousins, pterosaurs had the cool-factor of being able to fly. Palientologists have discovered a sort of prehistoric runway for flying dinos which they've dubbed "Pterosaur Beach". Located in France, this is not affiliated with Charles de Gualle International Airport.
This runway teaches us more about how pterosaurs used their feet during takeoff and landing. For example, it looks like pterosaurs would drag their toes along the ground to slow down, like a kid riding a BMX bike without brakes.
The footprints suggest the pterosaur — a "pterodactyloid" with a wingspan roughly 3 feet (1 meter) wide — flapped to stall its flight during landing, and then planted both of its 2-inch-long (5-centimeter-long) feet simultaneously at a high angle.
