Discovery

I had never really given much thought to photography. Just grab a camera and snap a picture. That is until one day, when I was on a cruise ship. When the ship stopped at Mexico, and was docking, I looked out my bedroom window. That is when I saw the potential of this beautiful piece of land. Though it was flat, and old looking buildings were everywhere, the water was blue and there was a great contrast between it and the land. I quickly grabbed my disposable Kodak camera, and captured that image that I saw. Later, when the photos were fully developed, I remembered how beautiful that image really was, and everything that I had forgotten all came back to me in that moment. That is when I realized how much I really love photography. I was just eleven years old at the time, but since that time, I have loved photography. It has been five years since then, and every time I take a photo, I have learned something new.

Sierra_C._Photography, I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I've got a few suggestions, and if you give them a try, I'd be happy to remove this flag.
I wasnt sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered.
