Dolphin Rescue Video: Brazilians Save 30 Dolphins
Save the Dolphins: Beachgoers Rescue Stranded Dolphins
Around 30 dolphins got stranded on a Brazilian beach as they hunted in the low tide. Fortunately for them, some helpful humans were on hand to push them back out to sea. The dolphin rescue video is below.
At first, the beachgoers just stand there, staring at the suddenly-stranded dolphins, wondering if they should touch the beached pinnipeds. Then a few orange-shirted lifeguards step up and start moving the dolphins into deeper water. Next thing you know, the whole beach springs into action and starts dolphin-heaving.
Watch for the guy who is compelled to strip down to his Speedo to perform proper dolphin assistance. Also, we'd have expected more of the beachgoers to take the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with 30 dolphins.
This video was shot by Gerd Traue at Arraial do Cabo on March 5, 2012.
If you're a dolphin, take note of the map below. You've got friends in Brazil.
