Dupont Circle Snowball Fight a Success in the Blizzard of 2010
As the snow continues to fall in Washington DC and the surrounding areas, at least one group of people found a way to have some fun in what is being called the 'blizzard of 2010'.
A bar was also set up outside the Dupont Hotel and the police were there to control the crowds.
The organizers, 30-somethings Ami Greener and Michael Lipin, first tried to put together a snowball fight on Facebook during the December snowstorm, but only about a half-dozen friends showed up. This time they tried much harder, getting advice from friends about how to use Twitter and to get the word out.
The group did post a disclaimer that if you took part in the snowball fight it was at your own risk, but the event was a success and was a definite way to have some fun in the snow rather than worry about how much the snow is piling up.
