mtippett, I like this story. It's good stuff.
Granted a 5.8 Earth Quake is well noticeable and yet California should be used to them as Japan is used to Earth Quakes. Japan has an average of 3 Earth Quakes per week through out the Country that is, and most of them minor. I witnessed a couple of Earth quakes here any where from 4 to 6. At first I was rather surprised how non challant Japanese behave in Earth Quakes, no one actually seem to worry nor to react to them!
Even the News report never really bother with them, they issue a warning as the Earth Quake does happen and monitor possible tsunami, yet that is all and no one mentions any thing more after wards. Only those Earth Quakes that cause major destruction and causalities get any attention at all and that maybe for a day, at the most for a week!
Then it is all history until the next one in couple of days!
