The Health Ministry`s Disaster Crisis Center reported here on Monday that three persons were killed in earthquakes which hit Dompu and Bima, West Nusa Tenggara in the wee hours of Monday.
One of the three dead victims was a 10-year-old child, dr. Rustam S Pakaya, head of the disaster crisis center, said.
The Center`s provisional data showed that around 45 people were injured and 32 of them were being treated in local hospitals up to Monday morning.
Lilo subdistrict, which located 65 km from Bima, was the worst-hit area, where tens of houses and a community health center were damaged by the earthquake.
Pakaya said that his Center has prepared to send relief aid consisting of instant food for adults and babies, medicines to the earthquake-hit areas.
