7.3-Magnitude Quake Shakes El Salvador

An earthquake measuring 7.3 in magnitude struck off the coast of El Salvador at 10:37pm local time on August 26, followed by several large aftershocks measuring between 4.1 and 5.1.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a warning for the western coasts of all Central American nations and Mexico. The Tsunami Warning was later lifted.

No reports of serious injuries or damage have emerged from the El Salvador quake.
