Some of the aerial views around the Yukon Kuskokwim rivers delta are pretty spectacular in the changes visible. The region is semi-arid and our ponds are drying up on the Kuskokwim delta, as well. Some of the animals are capable of moving with the environmental change, but humans are now pinned in place (as long as the land doesn't erode out from under us).
Willows (the trees not the shrubs and herbs) and alders are growing like weeds and robins (American thrush) are also.
