This was taken a few hours ago, in Galveston, Texas. Hurricane Ike is coming. I live in the Houston area, about an hour away from the coast, and instead of running away, I took advantage of the fact that the hurricane was coming. I drove there. I know it sounds mean & careless, but I just wanted to check the area out. It's supposed to make landfall soon... I'm not sure. There was no one there except us, news reporters, and police. It was empty and abandoned. I encountered NBC. Haha. On a more serious note, I hope everyone in the area will be okay. I'm scared too D: It's supposed to hit my city as well.
