The 2009 Hawaii Hurricane Felicia has been down graded from a category 4 to 2 as it nears Hawaii. Winds have slowed form their 220 kmh high to 185 kmh. The Hawaii hurricane wind speeds are expected to further decrease after it reaches colder water. Though the danger to Hawaii is minimal meteorologists still warn of possible flooding.

The storm was downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane as it moved west-northwest toward Hilo, Hawaii, at 13 mph (20 kmh).

I hope the hurricane will be further downgraded by the time it does reach Hawai'i.  Thanks for the piece.

It probably will not be a hurricane when it gets to Hawaii.
