Ferrari helps the Environment with Solar Panels
Ferrari is taking a step to helping the environment as earlier this week it unveiled a 'photovoltaic system', basically 1075 solar panels, that will be installed on the roof of their Engine Mechanical Machining Facility in Maranello, Italy.
In addition to the new panel installation, Ferrari is also installing a trigenerational plant that will cover nearly all of the company's electricity requirements and cut CO2 emissions by 25-30 percent in 2009.
Ferrari's industrial complex contains 165,000 square meters of green space as well as 200 trees planted in the last six months alone.

I never thought I'd see Ferrari and "helps the environment" in the same sentence. Well done!

Hum, well, Once they start building a none polluting Car with a Hydrogen engine like BMW, Mazda or Honda are already selling, then i will applaud them. THe Solar panels on the roof is a long over due act for a rich auto maker such as Ferrari and yes I do agree with Jarrett as well it is progress never the less even if just a baby step.

Do you even know where Hydrogen comes from?
Sure as shit not going to come from water...
Sure as shit not going to come from industrial waste processes...
Hmm, I wonder what contains enough easily accessible hydrogen?
Oh I know.
Oil.
Hydrogen will come from oil until nuclear fussion is feasable.
At least you're not pimping corn ethanol.

I heard that Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is producing 475 g/km of Carbon emissions. This car also uses about 20.7L of fuel for every 100km. The Toyota Corolla which puts out 172g/km of CO2 emissions and uses 7.3L of fuel per 100km. Anyways, effort is there.
