Finland: 2 Dead, 12 Injured in Good Friday Crashes
Winter came back - if it ever had left.
Two people are dead and at least a dozen injured after a series of road accidents at the beginning of the Easter weekend. In Central Finland and Northern Ostrobothnia, slush has made roads dangerously slippery.
Early Friday morning, two Russian lorry drivers were killed when their vehicles collided in Virolahti near Hamina in the south-east. One truck apparently swerved into oncoming traffic. Road and weather conditions were good at the time.

Yes, it snows every April. Sometimes it may snow in May. It is rare to snow in June.

what is odd is that there were so many accidents, the Finns are amongst the best drivers.

Dead drivers were both Russians.
Some drivers (the stupid ones) change the summer wheels immediately, when the roads are clear from ice and snow.

Snow and ice is always a problem in the UK where people do not know how to even use snow chains and most people do not own them.
