Nearly 2000 homes in Ostrobothnia and Kainuu were without electricity on Saturday after the weight of snow felled trees that knocked out power lines.

Outages began Friday evening and worsened during the early hours of Saturday.

Power companies say that restoring supplies has been a challenge.

First snow came today at these levels too.

Is this about the right time to get snow there? Or would you say this is early?

It is quite the correct time for the first snow, perhaps a little too late than early.

The permanent snow comes usually a month later (I think).

It was a very difficult driving weather. There were many car accidents. But it was also very beautiful optical phenomenon.
