After hearing there were many fish swimming on W. Wisconsin Avenue in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, we had to go see for ourselves. The local news media had aerial shots of fish swimming in the street from the Pewaukee Lake overflowing from the beach onto the sidewalks and street. Local businesses have been scurrying to sandbag to protect their interests. Many of the residents were taking their families and dogs out to experience the flooding firsthand. The currents were somewhat quick as many people took off their shoes and flipflops to wade through the streets. Others were on bicycles or pulling wagons with fishing gear. Some residents had rescued the fish and by the time we arrived, they had all been happily put back to the lake. Alright, so that means instead of filleting, we had to grill Brats! Oh well!
