Five Nines

So it finally happened. The big rollover. I decided to take this pic and a 100k pic but I like this one better.

5 nines has always been about uptime in the technology world, in the car world people say its a bad thing.

But for me, it hasn't be been bad. 'Ralph' as we call him now, has been through alot in his years. Been bumped in the rear by bad drivers, a smushed transmission by a giant rock that fell off a truck, and of course more trips then he probably ever wanted to go on.

I did have one funny thought just after it occurred. I have spent almost as much on gas as I spent on the car. At his average of 24mpg (seattle traffic is the death of gas mileage), that means I have put about 4166 gallons of gas in the car. At todays prices, that would be $14,581, or more then I paid for the car.

Happy birthday old man, don't keel over on me now, we ave a ways to go before you retire.
